SURABAYA, Indonesia, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Experts identifying victims of the AirAsia plane that sank in Indonesia's water announced the first result of their works to identify two bodies on Thursday, saying they were to hand one of them to her family soon.

Head of Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) named only Budiono said that one of the two bodies was successfully identified to be an Indonesian woman named Hayati Lutfiah Hamid from East Java province.

"The body will be handed to family soon today (Thursday)," he said at the Police Hospital Bhayangkara here.

According to one of Hayati's relatives, the funeral will be carried out in Surabaya city soon after the handing over on Thursday.

He added that the identification work on four other bodies arrived at the hospital on Thursday is still going on.

Those bodies were sent to Surabaya by Indonesia's military cargo plane for further post mortem identification before being delivered to families.

Experts for identification have also come from South Korea and Singapore to assist the work, according Police chief of East Java province Inspector General Anas Yunus.

So far eight Bodies have been pulled out from the sea at the fifth day of the accident, Military Commander for Brawijaya (East Java province) Military Command Eko Wiratmojo told Xinhua on Thursday at naval base of Juanda here.
